2012 — A Year of Travelling
It was Janet's 50th birthday during 2012, and she wanted to celebrate by seeing parts of the world we hadn't seen before. This didn't leave as much time for biking as usual, while it remains a huge influence in our lives. As it turned out, it's as well that the intention was for biking to take a slightly lesser role in 2012, as the weather got in the way of just about everything, but mostly biking!
Fireworks outside Scallys, a local biker haunt, ushered in 2012
We went to a Spurs game for our wedding anniversary — so romantic . . . and mostly on Janet's behalf
In mid-February we went to the Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show
Later in February we headed off on a Taj and Tigers tour to northern India
Even on a tour like this, a tiger sighting is by no means guaranteed, but we were lucky enough to see a tiger up close and personal
The whole trip was wonderful, but for both of us the highlight was a cycle ride through Old Delhi
Janet's 50th birthday finally arrived
The weekend after Janet's birthday we headed into Cornwall for a few days
In April the Bristol Italian AutoMoto Festival takes over some streets in central Bristol for the day
There were some classy old bikes . . .
. . . and this brand new model — the Ducati Panigale
There were also some interesting cars
