A Wet Week in the Peak District, June 2011

After a lot of snow when we last visited the Peak District in December 2010, we decided that we should be reasonably safe to go back in June. While our stay was undoubtedly snow-free this time, the weather wasn't particularly kind to us. We got soaked riding there, fairly wet during the week we stayed there, and soaked again on the way home! But we still had fun, and here are a few pictures from the trip.

At least it was dry in Peak Cavern, also known as “the Devil's Arse”, where people once lived and made rope for the local lead mining industry
