NEC Bike Show 2008
It is more-or-less an annual ritual for us to go to the Bike Show, which is usually held after the biking season has all but ended, at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. This year, in a break from usual tradition, we went on the Friday of the show, rather than on a weekend day, and it was definitely a good idea. There were no queues anywhere and there was plenty of opportunity to try the bikes out for size. Here is a selection of our photos from the event.
Andy trying out the Repsol 'Blade for size—don't they make any man-sized bikes any more?
Another colour option for next year, though Andy prefers his HRC 'Blade
Spot the difference—the Suzuka 8-hour 'Blade
A nice cut-away
With all the Euro-3 requirements it's no surprise that bike exhausts are so heavy!
A nice pair! But not yet available at a bike shop near you
The Hornet gets some new paint schemes and more adjustable suspension
Meanwhile the R1 gets a thorough re-work, with a new big bang motor, and a pink frame!!
The riding position seems more extreme than on Janet's '06 R1
Another nice cut-away, this time of the R1
